For years, I pushed myself to follow productivity systems that weren't built for my brain. I worked harder, stayed up later, and wondered why writing felt impossible some days and effortless on others. Perfectionism kept me stuck. Burnout became routine.
After finishing my PhD and navigating early motherhood, I received a late ADHD diagnosis (predominantly inattentive type). In that moment, everything clicked. I wasn't lazy or broken. I was wired differently.
Once I started working with my brain instead of against it, writing became clearer, more joyful, and sustainable. I realized I'd been unconsciously inventing ADHD-friendly strategies for years, long before I had a diagnosis, long before I even had the language for what I was doing. I'd just been trying to survive. Turns out, I was also building a toolkit.
Now I help writers with ADHD skip years of trial and error. Drawing on eleven years of research in cognitive neuroscience and psychology, eight years of university teaching, three years of academic advising, and my own experience as a published writer with a PhD in cognitive-behavioral neuroscience, I offer the tools, structure, and compassion I once needed and still rely on today.
Academic advising taught me that the best support doesn't tell people what to do. It helps them figure out what they already know. Coaching works the same way.
When I'm not coaching or writing, I'm probably dancing in the living room with my kiddo, or retracing my steps to find the coffee I just set down (again).
How I Work With You
Writing blocks aren't a willpower problem. They're a brain-fit problem. My approach blends neuroscience, psychology, and the lived experience of being both a writer and an ADHDer — because I know what it actually feels like to stare at a blank page and wonder if you're the problem.
Together, we'll:
Uncover the real root of your avoidance, overwhelm, or perfectionism
Build writing habits that feel natural — not rigid or exhausting
Create structure that supports your focus without killing your creativity
Develop tools that align with your strengths, values, and actual life
Grow the kind of self-trust that makes you want to come back to the page
My goal isn't just to help you finish a project. It's to help you build a writing life that feels good to live in.
